Anyone may contribute — from micronational government leaders to researchers, historians, and casual editors.


How you can contribute

Create or expand articles

[edit source]

MicroVault documents real-world micronational history, organizations, events, and individuals. You can help by:

  • Creating pages for micronations, governments, leaders, alliances, elections, conflicts, constitutions, and projects.
  • Updating older articles with accurate and current information.
  • Splitting large pages into structured sections for clarity.
  • Uploading and documenting symbols, coats of arms, flags, and official media.

Cleanup and maintenance

  • Fix typos and grammar.
  • Improve formatting.
  • Add categories.
  • Update outdated details.
  • Replace dead links with archived copies when possible.

Improve structure and navigation

  • Add infoboxes and navboxes.
  • Link related pages.
  • Standardize naming formats for leaders, offices, ministries, and events.

Active tasks

Here are ongoing tasks always needing editors:

  • Adding infoboxes to micronations, leaders, ministries, alliances, military units, etc.
  • Categorizing new pages.
  • Expanding short or incomplete pages.
  • Documenting significant micronational events and elections.
  • Updating pages with newly released information or official announcements.
  • Uploading standardized iconography (flags, seals, coats of arms).

MicroDev Institute Discord Server

MicroVault does not have its own server. All coordination, support, and discussion take place within the MicroDev Institute Discord server.

The server is used for:

  • Editor coordination
  • Support for templates and formatting
  • Micronational research discussion
  • Requests for verification or historical sourcing
  • Announcements regarding MicroVault development and updates

Talk pages

Every article on MicroVault has a talk page. Use talk pages to:

  • Request additions or clarifications
  • Resolve disagreements
  • Propose structural or formatting changes
  • Share relevant sources or documentation


Administration

MicroVault’s administrators (under the MicroDev Institute) oversee:

  • Enforcement of wiki policies
  • Deletions and protection
  • Dispute resolution
  • Template and module support
  • Technical maintenance
