The government of Mabruenia is a semi-constitutional Monarchy, with democratic institutions and separation of powers. Mabruenia's system combines monarchial leadership with elected representation, a structured Judiciary, and multiple executive departments. The Mabruenian government operates under the principals of law, unity, and constitutional order.

The Monarchy

The Monarchy of Mabruenia, the House of Fleming, is the ruling dynasty of the Kingdom, with Her Majesty Amara I being the current Monarch of the nation. The rest of the Royal Family helps with governmental duties as well. As the Monarch, Amara serves as the ceremonial head of state and is a symbol of unity among the Mabruenian Kingdom. While she has limited direct powers, she does have the authority to approve legislation, grant honors, issue royal proclamations, and call emergency sessions within the Grand Assembly. She is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Mabruenian Armed Forces, and can initiate diplomatic relations with other nations.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch of Mabruenia works similarly to a US/UK system, having a Chancellor, Deputy Chancellor, and several ministries forming the Cabinet.

Chancellor of Mabruenia (COM)

The Chancellor serves as the head of the Mabruenian Government, leading the Executive Branch. The Chancellor is responsible for Day-to-day governance of the Kingdom, appointments within the Cabinet, national policy creation, and Implementing laws passed by the Grand Assembly.

Deputy Chancellor

The Deputy Chancellor serves as the president of the House of Representatives, however they can only vote in order to break a tie with in the HOR. The Chancellor is the first in line for succession if the Chancellor dies or is unable to lead.

Ministries & Agencies

The Executive Branch includes several ministries, each overseeing specific sectors They are named Chancellery's in Mabruenia. Examples:

  • Ministry of Health
  • Ministry of Internal Affairs
  • Ministry of Education
  • Ministry of cybersecurity
  • Ministry of Agriculture
  • Ministry of provincial affairs
  • Ministry of citizenship
  • Ministry of Homeland Security

Legislative Branch

The Grand Assembly is Mabruenia's primary legislative body, also known as Parliament, and it is composed of representatives from across the kingdom. The Grand Assembly drafts and passes legislation, approves national budget, confirms key appointments, oversees executive accountability. The Grand Assembly also removes Monarchs if they are to break laws or step down, and commence coronations when needed.

Judicial Branch

The Supreme Court of Mabruenia (SCOM) is the highest judicial authority in the Kingdom, it ensures the constitutionality of laws and serves as the final appellate body. The SCOM holds power over constitutional review, disputes between states and Ministries, and oversight of the legal system.

Local Governance

The Mabruenian Kingdom is divided into three provinces and one territory, each with their own governors and local councils. Citizens in the kingdom are able to participate in Parliamentary elections, local governance, and national referendums. At the age of 15, citizens are allowed to vote in elections, and can run for the Grand Assembly.

Political Parties

Political parties are allowed in Mabruenia, however, there are none currently. historical parties do include the Communist Party of Mabruenia however.
