== History ==
Mabruenia was created on January 12th of 2023, but did not declare full independence until February 5th of 2023. The nation was inspired by a mock-government discord server named Imperium Discordiae (Imperium of Discord) that had plans to claim unoccupied islands in the pacific ocean. Following a period of reorganization after Amara's discord account was falsely reported, the nation would re-emerge on February 5th as the Second Republic of Mabruenia, with Amara declaring the day as Independence Day. 

Throughout 2023, the nation would develop its constitution, government, economy, and national symbols. The grand Assembly and several major laws would be established throughout this time as well. By mid-2023, Mabruenia would transition into a constitutional monarchy for 2 weeks, forming the House of Fleming. The monarchy would officially be reformed in September of 2024 after a popular vote, transforming the nation into the Grand Duchy of Mabruenia. Mabruenia would form several relations with nations, notably, the Free Kingdom of Nicaea, which would go on to form the Mabruenian-Nicene Commonwealth, modeled after the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

By the beginning of 2025, the monarchy would enact several decrees, dissolving the inactive parliament, and declaring certain foreign governments illegitimate. In mid-2025, Royal Decree 2025:10 would proclaim Mabruenia as the legitimate cultural and dynastic successor to the Kingdom of Scotland, citing lineage from the Clan Fleming. The decree would redefine Mabruenia as the Gaelic Kingdom of Mabruenia,  reaffirming its Scottish-Gaelic heritage and establishing the Royal House of Fleming as a continuation of Scotland's noble lineage.
